What We Did

When I work on freelance projects, I try to find work that is polar opposite to what I do during my day to day. More importantly, I try to work with small businesses and companies that have strong values and knowing that design can truly impact people's lives. MiResource is a mental health company trying to make finding the right care easier and to bring more transparency to a very complicated process.

Role

Lead Product Designer, Responsive Web App

Process

Studying their existing research findings, I developed a number of pages across their website to make it easier and more understandable for users to find the care they need. My resources were limited but I made the extra effort to consult friends in the industry, do a comprehensive audit across competitors and similar apps, and paid extreme detail to sympathize with the end user. UX language alone was extremely important as mental health is a challenging space and you want to provide a comfortable environment for people when they are looking for help.

Inviting & Clear

The Goal of the new Hero on the page was to make a warm and welcoming experience and very clear what the user intent is here with clear actions.

Direct Yet Careful

When researching questionnaires like this, I found that language is very important. The questions and selections were carefully curated to make the end user and comfortable as possible.

Clean & Crisp

Working with the MiResource brand was very enjoyable as the color palette and system allowed for each page to come out looking crisp and user friendly.
